 Egg Donor Overview

Our Asian donors are aged between 20 and 28 and are personally selected by Cathie.

Chinese and Thai Egg Donor Screening

All of our Asian donors undergo a very comprehensive screening process before they are accepted into our program.  This includes a full spectrum blood test,  (including for HIV, Hepatitis B & C and other transmittable diseases), scans and a full medical examination by our fertility specialist and most donors have genetic carrier testing at our New York genetics lab. They are also counseled to make sure they clearly understand their responsibilities and are comfortable with the arrangement they are about to enter into.

We are also unusual in that we require our donors to have a test cycle so we can assess how the quality of their eggs and resultant embryos.. We are the only service in Asia to do this.

The profiles you receive will contain the donors’ blood test results, blood types, medical histories, family details, physical characteristics and education levels.

We do not allow our donors to have ‘back to back’ donations as many agencies do and insist that each donor has a rest cycle of at least 3 months between donations and a maximum of 5 donations in total to ensure continued quality of donations.

Your first step is to select your Thai or Chinese egg donor.

Choosing their egg donor is one of the most important parts of the process for couples and singles seeking to have a family of their own. We provide you with as much information as possible and maintain current records for every donor in our Asian egg donor database. You will receive full details on her health, medical history, education, interests, and several photographs and, where possible, a short video interview.

Once you have made your choice and we have confirmed your egg donor’s availability you pay a deposit to reserve her services for the month of treatment.

 The egg donor procedure

Once you have chosen your donor our experienced medical staff will then coordinate your cycle with your donor's to enable a fresh embryo transfer. Mature eggs produced from your donor’s IVF cycle are fertilized with the father's sperm using ICSI, and all the resultant embryos belong to you. If there are more embryos than required for your transfer you can freeze and store your extra embryos. Your frozen embryos can then be used for subsequent attempts at pregnancy; whether or not your fresh transfer is successful.

In most cases you only need to allow 6 to 8-days for the entire procedure as it is the donor who has the IVF cycle so the Intending Mother’s medical intervention is minimal.

Once you have decided to proceed our Medical Support Team will provide you with full details of the process including a treatment schedule and timeline, which includes all your medication requirements, medical preparation and important dates. We also give suggestions for accommodation close to our clinics.

We provide specific details about your medical preparation once you have decided to proceed.

There are no legal issues with our Asian egg donor programs

Unlike with some donor services in Asia our egg donors are not exploited and we ensure they receive ethical treatment, high quality medical care and counseling and fair payment. Sometimes we may be a little more expensive than other services but this is because our donors receive a higher than average fee for their services and we provide a much more extensive donor screening program.

As one of the oldest and most established donor services in seAsia we are fully aware of the legal implications of the process. To safeguard both parties, your donor will sign an Agreement relinquishing all rights and responsibilities regarding her donated eggs and you will sign the same Agreement, which covers your rights and responsibilities.
